Encore post. I served this to some friends tonight and forgot how much people love this perfectly simple dish. Can’t Fail Flank Steak, is what this should be called. But, it’s actually Garlic Flank Steak and it’s no-fail deliciousness. With any marinade, the longer you can do it, the better. This is especially true for a flank which needs to marinate to tenderize the meat. 👩🏻🍳. .
1 to 1 1/2 Tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
3 garlic cloves, pressed
2 pounds flank steak
1. Stir together first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Rub mixture evenly over both sides of steak and place in a shallow dish. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours.
2. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350-400 degrees) 8-10 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips.
