There is snow on the ground, so there is chili in my house. This one is always a staple, and TBH, now I only like Spicy Turkey Chili prepared this way. 👩🏻🍳
Ingredients:
1 lb ground Turkey
1 small yellow onion, dices
1 28 Oz can Italian tomatoes, chopped
8 oz tomato sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp each: Worcestershire sauce, white wine vinegar
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp each: salt, garlic powder
1/8 tsp each: ground allspice, cinnamon, crushed red pepper
1 16 Oz can light red kidney beans
Optional toppings: scallions, jalapeños, sour cream, shredded cheese, avocado
Spray 3 quart saucepan with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium high heat. Add Turkey and onion, crumble meat until browned, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients (except beans) and stir well to combine. Reduce heat to low, let simmer, stirring occasionally, until chili is thick (about 25-30 minutes). Add the beans with about 5 minutes left. Remove bay leaf before serving. Enjoy!
Looks so cozy!
