This week I was introduced to themodernproper on goodmorningamerica and I’m so glad I was. Always good to try a new Pasta Bolognese recipe, and this one hit the spot. I took their advice and used store-bought marinara. I used my favorite raoshomemade and this shortcut had us ready to eat in 30 minutes. Simple ingredients, simply delicious. Don’t forget the Parmesan cheese and fresh bread! 👩🏻🍳. https://themodernproper.com/easy-bolognese. Ingredients. 2 tbsp Olive oil
1 cup Grated carrots
1 cup Celery, minced
1 cup Onions, finely minced
1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
1 lb Ground pork
1 25 oz jar store-bought marinara
1/2 cup Heavy cream
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 lb Wide pasta noodles, such as pappardelle or tagliatelle
Parmesan cheese. Directions
Sauté the carrots, celery and onion.
Stir in the pork and beef.
Pour in your jar of marinara sauce.
Simmer! Over the course of just 30 minutes, the sauce will thicken and cook down, and your whole kitchen will smell incredibly good.
When the sauce has reached your desired thickness, stir in the heavy cream.
Boil some water for pasta during the last 30 minutes of that simmer, so that you’ve got perfectly al dente pasta ready to go when the Bolognese is done.
